Let me introduce you to the world of Ballroom Dancing. Well, let me rephrase that. Let me introduce you to what Ballroom Dancing means to me. I found there is a magic in mastering the steps. As the music starts your mind resets and you poise to start to move your feet in time with the music. You turn loose of the worries of your day and the trouble you had at work. You can give that part of you a rest and open doors to the many other rooms in your mind. We all have the dances we like best, but you must try them all. Youâ€ll be surprised at the one you like best. I could talk about the benefit of the exercise. I have never smiled while running on a treadmill or riding an exercise bike, but dancing gives you the grins. And I get a wonderful workout during the time I dance. The benefit it gives my mind and body is hard to describe. The classic Waltz was the dance of our fathers and our mothers. You feel it coming and you take the pose. The music starts and your partner sweeps you up in his arms and the dance begins. And for the next 90 seconds, you are someone else, somewhere else and right here and now, all at the same time.
When given the chance to sit and watch the dancers, or get up and dance, I hope you dance . . .
